Medicare Part D
Medicare Part D is insurance for prescription medications. These Federal plans administered by private Insurance Carriers help cover your drugs' costs. Beneficiaries can enroll in a standalone Part D plan along with Original Medicare A & B and a Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap) plan. Another way to enroll in Part D is through your Medicare Advantage plan. Either way, unless you have drug coverage through your employer, you'll want to enroll in Part D to avoid penalties.
Your best Part D coverage choice will depend on your unique list of medications. We offer assistance to our clients and will do this research for you when you are new to Medicare.
